Report Card Time

It is report card time once again at Inuglak School, so the teachers are very busy trying to get them done before the end of the week. The weather has been great here, clear and sunny for the last 7 days but it hasn't warmed up much. The snow on the ground has turned to a hard ice platform which makes it very dangerous to walk on especially with Kamiks, I have had two nasty falls in the last three days. There is an art to walking in Kamiks - (Kamiks do not have any grips, the sole of the boot is tanned seal skin, very durable but very slippery.)

Qimmik is getting bigger and he is developing a thicker coat for the cold but he is still a big suck! Alex and I try to take him out for a big walk 3 to 4 times a week, but this week has been a little busy. Last weekend we took him out on the land and set up Alex's new tent, It was freezing out but he got it up in no time.

My high school business class has recently opened a new school store, the students named it the Igloo Cafe. It is off to a good start, the kids are enjoying running and it is making some good cash. The money will go towards Graduation and school sports.

That is all for now!
